Does LevelUp Digital require a contract or minimum commitment?
30-day notice on retainers, a 3-month minimum on the HubSpot support package
Retainers run month to month with 30 days notice to end them. The only fixed term we hold anyone to is the $700 per month HubSpot support package, which has a 3-month minimum.
Why no long lock-in
Long contracts mostly protect the agency. If the work is good you will stay, and if it is not, a twelve month term just means you spend nine months resenting us. We would rather earn the next month.
That said, be honest with yourself about timelines. SEO takes 3 to 6 months before you see real movement. Paid campaigns need enough volume to get through the learning period. Signing up for 60 days of SEO and cancelling is not a test, it is a donation.
Spend minimums
Advertising has a floor, and it is set by channel rather than by one flat number. On Google we would not recommend under $3,000 a month. On Meta, $1,500 can work. Geofencing is $5,000. Those are ad spend figures and they do not include our fee. The reasoning for each is in what is the minimum ad spend we recommend.
Retainers have a floor by tier rather than a contract length. The lowest is the flexible digital support retainer at $1,900 per month for 10 hours. Everything is listed on our retainer pricing page.
Projects
A website build or an implementation is a scoped project with a defined deliverable and a milestone payment schedule, not an ongoing commitment. Plenty of clients do a project and stop there, and that is fine.
