What platforms does LevelUp Digital develop on?

HubSpot CMS first, Shopify Plus for commerce, custom stacks when the project needs one

HubSpot CMS is our primary platform. We also build on Shopify and Shopify Plus for commerce, and on fully custom stacks including React front ends with custom back ends, headless commerce, and Laravel where a project calls for it.

Why HubSpot CMS is the default

We are a Platinum HubSpot Solutions Partner, so we will say the obvious thing first: we are biased, and we are telling you that up front. Here is why the bias is earned.

On HubSpot CMS, hosting, security, the CDN and the CMS are one managed product rather than a stack somebody has to patch every month. The website and the CRM are the same system, so a form fill arrives as a contact record with its source, its page and its campaign already attached, instead of an email somebody retypes. Smart content and personalization work off CRM data you already have. And the editor is usable by a non-technical person, which decides whether your site actually stays current.

Where the other platforms fit

  • Shopify and Shopify Plus. For real commerce, Shopify does things HubSpot does not. We build there and connect it back to HubSpot. See HubSpot with Shopify.
  • Custom stacks. React front ends, custom back ends, headless builds. This is for applications rather than marketing sites, and it is covered under custom web applications.
  • AWS, Make and n8n for the integration and automation layer behind all of it. See what infrastructure we use.

WordPress

We do not build or maintain full websites in WordPress. The reasoning is in why we do not build websites in WordPress, and the short version is security overhead, thin SEO tooling, and an editing experience that keeps clients dependent on their agency. We will work with WordPress as a limited component behind a HubSpot-fronted setup, and we will migrate you off it.

How we pick

We start from what the site has to do, what your team can maintain after we hand it over, and what it has to connect to. If a simpler platform solves your problem we will say so. What we will not do is put you on a stack that needs us forever.
