HubSpot vs Zoho, Pipedrive, and Monday: how do they compare?

Each is good at one thing. HubSpot is the one that still fits at the next stage.

Pipedrive is the better simple sales pipeline, Zoho is the better price, and Monday is the better work management board. HubSpot is the only one of the four you do not have to replace when marketing and service move onto the same record.

What each one is genuinely good at

  • Pipedrive is a clean, fast, sales-only pipeline. A five person sales team can be productive in it the same afternoon they buy it. That is not nothing.
  • Zoho gives you an enormous amount of software for very little money, and Zoho One is a real answer if budget is the binding constraint. Companies that are disciplined about configuration get a lot out of it.
  • Monday is excellent work management. If your team already lives in boards and your CRM need is mostly tracking who is doing what by when, Monday CRM will feel natural because the rest of the company is already there.

Where the seams show

The common failure is not a feature gap, it is a stage change. Pipedrive stays a sales tool, so when you need nurture email, lifecycle reporting and a support queue tied to the same contact, you start bolting things on. Zoho's breadth comes with a configuration burden, and the pieces feel like separate products because they largely are. Monday is built around items on boards, so contact and company relationships and marketing attribution take work to model.

None of that makes them bad. It makes them right for a specific stage. The question to ask is what your CRM has to do in two years, not this quarter.

Why we land on HubSpot

HubSpot starts free, has a real free CRM under it, and the upgrade path adds marketing, service, content and data tooling onto the same records rather than beside them. You are not migrating again at the next stage, you are turning something on. For companies in our usual range, roughly $1M to $50M in revenue, that avoided second migration is worth more than the monthly difference.

LevelUp Digital is a HubSpot Platinum Solutions Partner. Declared bias, stated up front. If you are a three person sales team with no marketing function and no plan to build one, Pipedrive is a perfectly honest answer and we will say so.
