How much does a flexible digital support retainer cost?
Four tiers: 10 hrs $1,900, 15 hrs $2,775, 20 hrs $3,500, 40 hrs $6,750 per month.
LevelUp Digital's flexible digital support retainer has four published levels: 10 hours a month for $1,900, 15 hours for $2,775, 20 hours for $3,500, and 40 hours for $6,750.
The effective hourly rate
- L1, 10 hours, $1,900: $190 an hour.
- L2, 15 hours, $2,775: $185 an hour.
- L3, 20 hours, $3,500: $175 an hour.
- L4, 40 hours, $6,750: about $169 an hour.
The rate falls as the commitment rises, which is the whole reason to buy hours in a block instead of ad hoc. At 40 hours a month you are paying roughly 11% less per hour than at 10.
What the hours get spent on
Whatever you point them at. Landing pages, conversion tracking repairs, email and automation builds, design work, reporting dashboards, site edits, CRM cleanup, analytics investigations. It is senior time, not an intern pool. The flexible retainer is the right pick when the work genuinely changes month to month, or when you have an internal marketer who needs hands rather than a strategy.
How to pick a tier
Count the things on your list that have been sitting there for a quarter. If it is two or three small items a month, L1 at $1,900 is honest sizing. If you have a backlog and a roadmap, start at L2 or L3 so the queue actually clears instead of rolling forward forever. If you are consistently out of hours by the third week, you were under bought, and moving up a level costs less per hour than staying put.
If the work is specifically HubSpot administration, the HubSpot service retainer at $195 an hour or $700 a month for 4 hours is usually the cleaner fit. If the work is data and reporting, see our data and analytics services.
Honest limits
A support retainer is execution capacity. It is not marketing leadership, and it is not a substitute for a strategy. If nobody is setting direction, buying hours just means better executed guesses. Full rates are published on the retainers page.
