How does LevelUp Digital handle scope changes mid-engagement?
New work is quoted against the published rates or absorbed into the tier, never billed blind.
When a request lands outside your scope, one of three things happens: it fits inside the hours you already bought, it gets quoted against LevelUp Digital's published rates, or it becomes its own project. Nothing extra is ever done and then billed to you afterward.
Outcome one: it fits the hours
If you are on a flexible digital support retainer, you bought capacity, not a fixed deliverable list. 10 hours at $1,900, 15 at $2,775, 20 at $3,500 or 40 at $6,750. A new request that fits in the remaining hours just gets done. We will tell you what it will consume so you can decide whether it is worth the hours ahead of other things in the queue.
Outcome two: it gets quoted at the published rate
If you are on a deliverable based retainer such as SEO at $1,850 a month, extra work is priced against the rate card rather than squeezed in. HubSpot work is $195 an hour, training is $250 an hour, an extra ad platform is $350 a month, an extra SEO location is $350 a month. You get the number before the work starts, in writing, and you approve it.
Outcome three: it is a project
Some requests are not a scope change, they are a different engagement. A new website (base $4,500, most builds $5,000 to $10,000), a custom integration, a rebrand, a HubSpot implementation. We will say so plainly rather than trying to drip it through a retainer over six months, which is slower for you and worse work.
The rule underneath all three
No surprise invoices. Budget is agreed before the month, so the number is known. A mid month increase lands on the next invoice, not as a retroactive charge. If we think you are asking for the wrong thing, we will say that too, before quoting it. That is the part most agencies skip, and it is cheaper for you than being agreeable.
